Description:
The SW-520D Vibration Sensor Metal Ball Tilt Switch has a shrink tubing cover to prevent short circuits. It has two conductive elements (poles) at one end of the sensor. The sensor acts as a throw switch when the mass rolls onto the poles and shorts them, if the sensor is positioned with the leads downwards.
Roller ball tilt switches are simpler than full accelerometers because they can detect motion or orientation without extra circuitry. Full accelerometers, however, need to analyze the digital or analog voltage they output.
Application:
- Security devices
- Toys
- Electronic scales
Features:
- Switch closes when leads are pointed down
- The maximum current of 30mA
- Contact rating up to 20V.
